South African Super-Star Fifi Cooper Collaborates with Sports Company WWS to release Springbok Song

Johannesburg, 28 October 2023 – With the whole of South Africa looking forward to watching the Springboks take on New Zealand in the 2023 Rugby World Cup Final, super-star Fifi Cooper has collaborated with World Wide Scholarships (WWS) to release an Amapiano-inspired track titled “De Bokke” in honour of the Springboks amazing and memorable achievements to date in the 2023 Rugby World Cup. South Africa’s pride and joy the Springboks – AmaBokke have are one of the few teams in history to raise the cup 3 times, with the whole of South Africa and Africa hoping that tonight will be the 4th time the team walks away as the champions of the world.

The catchy song is brings together a fusion of music that blends Amapiano and hip-hop with Afrikaans, Zulu, and Xosa, a befitting theme song to celebrate the rainbow nation’s national rugby team. The production aspect of the song was handled by 7-time SAMA award-winning producer Steve “Sticky” Menwana. The song titled “De Bokke” brings top artists Fifi Cooper, Solid T, Nathan Jean, Slam Twice, and Worldwide Scholarships CEO Munya Maraire.

The song is currently circulating on social media platforms and has already gripped some of the legendary Springbok players whose names are mentioned in the song with the likes of Siya Kolisi, Makazoli Mampimpi, Handrè Pollard, Brian Habana, and Faf de Klerk.

When asked why this kind of a project WWS CEO Munya Maraire mentioned: “We are proud of the Springboks and their achievement, and they are the champions in our eyes. We wanted to celebrate them and preserve the memory of their legendary performance this year through music, incorporating all cultures, races, and ages that embody South Africa. Music brings people of all cultures together in the same way sports do, and the fusion of sports and music is powerful. We look to get clearance from the South African Rugby Association and their partners to do a video of the song in January with the team and we are excited to bring this Afro-fusion to Springbok fans across the world.”
